About Us

From Beth Slate, Founder

No one truly understands how painful, frightening and confusing divorce can be, until they experience it themselves.  I know I didn’t.  I just knew I needed help breathing and I had no one to turn to.  Raised in a very religious family, the idea of divorce was never an option or if you were divorced, you were forever tainted.  When I made the decision to leave my hidden abusive marriage, I was a young mother with no money, no job, no family and no friends outside the church.  Every moment was terrifying.  I’d never felt so alone in my life.  I would have given anything to have had someone who could have supported me, helped me  make wise decisions, minimize conflict and focus on building my best future.

One thing I’ve always believed is that every experience in life shapes us.  We get to determine whether it’s to help us grow and become the best version of ourselves or fall into despair and hopelessness.  I chose to grow.  I am still growing and I am grateful for all the opportunities that come my way; many disguised as pain or suffering (well most of the time!).  I’ve gathered those jewels of learning and have focused my life work on bringing them back to the village on my own heros’ journey.

Let's Find Your Path

Meet Your Certified Divorce Coach

I’m Beth Slate, and my life’s work has been centered on helping people heal, grow, and move forward with confidence. As an empath, I feel deeply, and I’ve always been drawn to spaces where compassion and clarity can make the greatest impact.

For over forty years, I’ve worked as a business consultant, helping companies build sustainable success by creating strong cultures and outstanding client experiences. Twenty years ago, I brought that expertise into the legal field, partnering with hundreds of law firms and their clients. My goal has always been to bring strategic insight together with heart-centered guidance, especially where people are navigating life’s most challenging transitions.

My professional path has been shaped by more than just education and experience—it’s been deeply personal. I’ve gone through my own high-conflict divorce, and I understand firsthand how disorienting, painful, and overwhelming it can be. That experience drives my passion for supporting others in finding clarity, strength, and peace in the midst of uncertainty.

Alongside my consulting work, I’ve spent many years in service-oriented roles that align with my heart’s mission. I’ve been a domestic violence and sexual assault victim’s advocate, a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for foster children, and a guardian ad litem in Washington State for high-conflict custody cases. I’ve also taught parenting classes, equipping families with tools to thrive during and after transitions.

As a Certified Divorce Coach, Certified Mediator, and Certified Change Management Practitioner, I bring a holistic approach to coaching. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Development, with a focus on families in conflict, and I’ve completed master’s level work in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Whether you’re facing a divorce, working through custody decisions, or simply unsure of what comes next, I’m here to walk alongside you with wisdom, empathy, and practical support. You don’t have to do this alone.

My Purpose and Passions:

From the time I was a young girl, connection, purpose and healing have always been big themes in my life.

Today I am living my best life, spending time with my two grandchildren who are my heart in human form, growing my own healthy organic food and creating herbal remedies.  I have surrounded myself with others who are curious, willing to grow and open hearted and who inspire me daily.  Sourdough bread and a good book and a long nap are my guilty pleasures.
